“pxrkxng lxt 2” ist ein unbewegter stummfilm, entstanden auf grundlage einer ausstellung, die im sommer 2014 in düsseldorf in einer tiefgarage stattfand. als umfassende aussage gedacht verbinden sich im video sprache, photografie, musik und bild. das gleichnamige künstlerbuch ist soeben im https://www.facebook.com/rheinverlag?fref=ts erschienen. pxrkxng lxt 2 beschreibt in lyrischer form ein weltmodell, welches sich als zyklischer prozess darstellt. dieser vorgang spult sich auf keine teleologie hin ab, sondern zeigt am ende nicht mehr als die ausweglosigkeit von eros und thanatos sowie das rätsel von macht, selbstreferenzialität und wahrheit. durch eine verzahnung von theatralen und quasi-architektonischen strategien entsteht eine ruhige choreographie, deren historische referenzpunkte in undergroundfilmen wie “la jetee” (chris marker) oder “meshes on the afternoon” (maya deren) zu finden wären. dazu erscheint die novelle „raum in einem raum“, die die fundamental-ontologische struktur von pxrkxng lxt 2 als erzählung in die uns bekannte welt spiegelt. die musik des films wird demnächst als 10 inch-schallplatte auf I/Y veröffentlicht. die drei teile werden dann auch gebündelt in einem schuber erhältlich sein. watch out!

“pxrkxng lxt 2” is a silent film of still images, based on an exhibition that took place in summer 2014 in dusseldorf in an underground garage. intended as a comprehensive statement the video combines language, photography, music and image. the artist’s book of the same name has just been published by https://www.facebook.com/rheinverlag?fref=ts. pxrkxng lxt 2 describes a world model in lyrical form, which presents itself as a cyclical process. this process doesn’t wind down to any kind of teleology, but in the end depicts nothing but the hopelessness of eros and thanatos as well as the mystery of power, self-referentiality and truth. by integration of theatrical and quasi-architectural strategies a quiet choreography is created, whose historical reference points would be found in underground films such as “la jetee” (chris marker) or “meshes on the afternoon” (maya deren). additionally the short story “room within a room” is published, in which the fundamental ontological structure of pxrkxng lxt 2 is reflected into the world we know as a narrative. the music of the film will soon be released on I / Y as a 10 inch record. the three parts will then also be available bundled in a slipcase. watch out!
