Open Call for Sound Artists // Echo Sound Installation #1: Susanne Kohler

In the last two years Echo Bücher has hosted a range of diverse co-curated exhibitions of music-inspired visual art. This fall we wish to explore a new dimension. This is an Open Call for artists and musicians interested in exploring the idea of the „echo“ within electronic composition and sound installation.

Susanne Kohler (DE), an artist based in Berlin, studied Fine Art at the Akademie der bildenden Künste in Stuttgart, the Chelsea College of Fine Art and the Slade School of Fine Art in London.

Having grown up near the Alps in the south of Germany, hiking and climbing mountains were an important part of Susanne Kohler’s childhood. Now journeys – long solitary walks, taken over weeks and months – have become central to her art practice and offer the material for her videos, installations and recent performance work.
