Cómeme
Welcome to WORKING IN CÓMEME:
A Cómeme Diary Presentation
Is Cómeme still a Dance Music Label?
Come to Working in Cómeme and find out!
This is not a label showcase, this is not an artwork retrospective exhibition! It’s Working in Cómeme. With images and sound, performance and lots of Cómeme international psychominimalism!
“Working in Cómeme” is a steady process, a state of mind, it’s what we are doing and what we are working on, as there is a place called CÓMEME, in which many people – and things – can find their spot and you are invited to come and participate! A place in which we can work under protection, without having to focus on commercial purposes- ” Working in Cómeme ” means Work in Itself
That’s also the idea of an extra publication to be presented that very evening, showing the many different planets and their orbits in that Cómeme solar system!
Sarah Szczesny and Christian S have put together all this material and are creating this space in which you will be able to move.
“Do You Wanna Work?” is a song by Matias Aguayo featuring an industrial video by Julia Kasprzak and Odile Bernard Schroeder to be seen on YouTube. This title can be understood as “do you wanna dance?” or “Do you wanna jack?” but also as an invitation to participate (get involved) and DO, instead of fearing, hoping or complaining…
As all of them Cómeme people live in so many different places of the globalised globe, we are all looking forward to meet a big part of the rest of the gang, and to play and to dance together (unless VISA issues in Festung Europa keep on giving us troubles!)
To get a deeper insight, you can read this interview Sarah Szczesny did for The Standard about her previous exhibition in LE BAIN, NYC:
